Ernest Cruikshank, III (Chief Investment Officer/Executive Vice President) graduated from Princeton University in 1966 with an AB degree, majoring in French and Art as part of the Special Program in European Civilization. He started his investment career in 1966 with Harris, Upham & Co. in New York before moving to Atlanta. He subsequently worked for White, Weld & Co., and Wood, Struthers and Winthrop in Atlanta. In 1976, Mr. Cruikshank joined Salomon Brothers Inc. in Atlanta as Vice President, working as a generalist, working with a diverse group of institutional clients for the entire range of equity and fixed income products. In 1985, he moved to New York for Salomon to manage the training program and national hiring for sales and trading. Subsequently, Mr. Cruikshank moved to the municipal group working with a number of financial institutions including hedge funds, mutual funds, insurance companies and bank portfolios. Since joining JE&W in 1988, he has been responsible for fixed income strategy and tactics while managing the largest pools of fixed income money for both taxable and tax-exempt clients. |
